Mickey Mouse Talking Telephone
Disney has played an important role in many peoples lives. For some
individuals, it may be a Disney movie that was their first movie that they
ever saw. Other individuals recollect the fond times that they had while
visiting one of the many Disney theme parks. Many of the great things about
Disney, is that the Disney line has many items to offer for Disneyana
collectors.
Vintage Disney items seem to be highly collectible, and sought after. Among
one of the most beloved Disney classics is the Mickey Mouse talking phone.
The phone is brightly colored, and features a rotary dial. Being as the
phone is a rotary dial, which are all but extinct now, is one of the many
vintage features that the phone has to offer. The bright colors that are
painted on to Mickey Mouse adds a lot of flair to the phone as well. Mickey
Mouse holds the receiver of the phone with one hand, and point to it with
the other. Not only was the Mickey Mouse phone a fun and collectible piece
for many Mickey Mouse fans, but it also talked. The Mickey Mouse telephone
was not a standard rotary dial telephone by any means. The Mickey Mouse
telephone had five saying, all of which were in Mickey Mouse's distinctive
voice. One of the following five sayings would come into play when the
telephone rang:" Hi Pal, You've got a phone call", " I think it's for you",
" Oh, gee, I wonder who it could be, " " Oh boy, a phone call, " and " well,
what do you know? It's for you!". These lovable phrases are what seemed to
make the telephone an important piece of Disney art. The phone owner could
also switch the telephone so the phone would ring in a normal manner. With
Mickey Mouse talking, though, who would want to hear anything else greet a
phone call?
The Mickey Mouse phone first came out in the 1980's. Over twenty years
later, the Mickey Mouse phone can now be seen fetching in approximately
$125.00 with online sales. Phones that are in mint condition, as well as in
in their original boxes that are not damaged can bring in even more money.
Mickey Mouse is such a great friend to many, and will make so many people
smile every time the phone rings with a Mickey Mouse talking telephone.
