Mickey Mouse Radios

Since the creation of radio, there have been millions of people all around the world that have owned some sort of radio. Many people own multiple radios, while others, collect radios. Many of these collectors also collect Disney items. One of the greatest inventions to these individuals is the Mickey Mouse radio.

Disney and Mickey Mouse have truly evolved over the years. With that evolution, there were changes to the radio as well. Over the years, radios have varied, from transistor radios, to AM and FM radios. As a result, there are also Mickey Mouse radios to accommodate these radios. There is the Mickey Mouse radio that is a transistor radio. This radio comes as the head of Mickey Mouse, complete with it's own carrying case and strap. Other radios, such as the AM and FM Mickey Mouse radios vary greatly as well. There are AM and FM Mickey Mouse radios that date as far back as 1934. Such a radio, should it be sold in mint condition, can easily bring in over $100.00. These radios, dating from the 1930's, are much larger. They are shown as a square shape, similar to that of a television. Each corner has a little triangle that has a different Walt Disney Character. In the middle of the radio is some tweed-looking material to cover the speaker. Int he center of the speaker, there is Mickey Mouse in his bright red pants and yellow shoes. The cello bass that he plays adds another fun little detail to the radio.

Mickey Mouse and his friends add such fun and flair to these radios. Anyone can listen to music in vintage style. So no matter what the radio is, whether it be a transistor, an AM or an FM radio, Disney enthusiasts can listen to their favorite news and tunes with an adorable Mickey Mouse radio.
