Mickey Mouse Hats
" M-I-C-K-E-Y -M-O-U-S-E!" This song has to be one of the most recognized
songs from millions of childhoods. Many people remember the original Mickey
Mouse show, while younger generations have been introduced to newer versions
of the Mickey Mouse Show. One thing is for certain though; no matter how
young or old Mickey Mouse fans are, people know all about the Mickey Mouse
Ear hats that became famous from the original Mickey Mouse Show.
The main feature of Mickey Mouse are his lovable and recognizable ears. On
the original Mickey Mouse Show, the "Mouseketeers", or show cast, wore their
"Mickey Mouse ear" hats. The hats seemed to be an instant trademark for
Mickey Mouse and Disney. These hats were not only popular for Disney, but
were an overnight craze and sensation for the young children that watched
the program. Before too long, the Mickey Mouse "ears", as they are more
commonly known as, were being sold in the shops and by vendors all through
out the theme parks. It seemed as though every child, young and old, wanted
a piece of Disney history.
Those individuals that purchased the Mickey Mouse "ears" at the time may not
have known what a wonderful piece of Disney history that they were sitting
on. The original " Mickey Mouse " ears that were sold, are now a very rare
find. Many people that have these hats have kept them in their families, and
pass them down from one generation to the next. Disney collectors all seem
to vie for these hats. There are still Mickey Mouse hats that are created to
this day, and sold at the theme parks, but the mint condition, vintage
Mickey Mouse hats are the ones that are the valuable pieces of Disneyana.
Those fortunate enough to have these hats in their collection truly have a
piece of memorable Disney history.
