Educational Fun with Fisher Price Snap Beads
Fisher Price has celebrated many years of developmental and educational fun
for young children around the world. In 2005, Fisher Price commenced on
their 75th year of producing child loving toys. First brought to the
American public post the Great Depression, many people were skeptical about
bringing new toys to the market. Luckily, the skepticism did not hinder the
spirits and the perseverance of Fisher Price's three inventors. With a
dream and vision in hand, Herman Fisher, Helen Scheele, and Irving Price
brought some of the best children's toys to the American market.
One of the most loved Fisher Price toys are the Snap Beads. These beads are
much larger than what most consider as a normal size for beads. These beads
are constructed with toddlers and preschoolers in mind. The beads, varying
in bright colors and shapes, make a great toy for small children. The beads
have a hole on one end, with a connector on the other side. It is the small
connector that protrudes on the side of the toy that connects one piece to
another. This interlocking mechanism creates hours of fun for any child.
Children can connect two or more pieces to create varying chain lengths to
play with. Long lengths can be created and played with on the floor. Same
shapes can be connected, as well as the same colors. This is an excellent
way for children to recognize color and shape grouping. Not only are
children creating fun with the snap beads, but without knowing, they are
also creating educational lessons that they can fall back on in the future.
Snap beads are a wonderful Fisher Price toy that has been around for years.
Some children even play with snap beads that their grandparents once played
with. Snap beads are readily available at any toy store, and are often very
affordable. Not only can children have fun and develop motor skills, but
they are truly creating memories with Fisher Price Snap Beads.
