Rockin' Fun with the Fisher Price Rock-A-Stack
Seventy-five years have passed since Fisher Price first came out with their
now vintage toys. Fisher Price toys are most defiinitely seen as classic,
or vintage. From pull along toys, to toys that teach children shape and
color comprehension, one of the top selling vintage and new toys that Fisher
Price sells is the Rock-A-Stack.
The Rock-A-Stack toy may seem very simplistic, but to children, it is truly
a fun toy to play with. The Rock-A-Stack consists of a white pyramid cone
that has a rounded bottom, which can rock back and forth. There are
colored rings that come with the Rock-A-Stack, which, when placed in order,
will stack on top of one another all the way up the cone. If the colored
ring is too small, it will not be able to slide all of the way down the
cone. This teaches children about size, color, and organization. The older
that the child becomes, the faster that they will realize that the colored
rings must be placed on the cone in order, from largest to smallest ring.
The Rock-A-Stack is a colorful way for children to play with rings. They can
also create a game out of the Rock-A-Stack as they get older. They can use
the base of the Rock-A-Stack as a catch all; they can toss the rings onto
the cone, creating a "ring toss" game. They can try to throw the rings onto
the Rock-A-Stack in order and can even play it with their friends.
The Rock-A-Stack is indeed a simplistic toy and game to play with. However,
it does create wonderful memories for children for many years. Vintage
Rock-A-Stacks are just as easy to find as new Rock-A-Stacks. Often times,
Rock-A-Stacks can be found at yard sales, flea markets, and on occasion,
thrift stores. It is without a doubt that the Rock-A-Stack will create fun
and laughter for many more children to come!
