Disney Pins

It is has been said that Walt Disney World and Disneyland are the most magical places on earth. Many believe that this is true. When one enters thru the gates of one of their many theme parks, the magic that is in the air is wonderful.

There are many items that people like to purchase at the theme parks as a piece of vacation memorabilia. Some individuals like to buy a shirt while others enjoy a mug. One of the most popular items sold thru Disney are the Disney pins. These lapel pins come in various sizes, and are created for many different reasons.

Since the opening of Disneyland, pins have been a great collectors item. The pins are created for openings of new theme parks, new attractions, as well as anniversaries for the theme park. There are also pins created for the staff, which are indeed very collectible, and have become rare over the years. In addition to the above pins, there are lapel pins created for media and press. These pins are often handed out for certain celebrations, such as the 25th and 50th anniversaries of Walt Disney World, and Disneyland.

Many of the Disney characters are featured on these pins. It can be a safe bet to say that Cinderella's castle, and Mickey Mouse are the most featured items on these pins. Many pins that feature the entire crew of the most popular Disney characters (Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck) are also highly popular and sought after.

Many Disney collectors like to collect the lapel pins, as they have become a very affordable hobby. Many of the pins are also created as a limited edition, or strictly for media, press and staff, so these are even more valuable. Some of the older Disney pins that have been sold have fetched an upwards of $50.00 plus for mint condition. Disney pins will forever remain an important staple to Disney collectors and Disneyana.
