Casino Dice
For many years, casinos have been the gambling mecca for many people. From
the old days of gunslingers and corral shoot-outs, casinos and gambling have
played an important role in American history. There are many factors and
pieces that go into gambling, and one of the famous and very vintage pieces
of casinos are the playing dice.
Dice are often used in many casino games. Games such as craps, and roulette
use dice to play with. Many people are superstitions with dice when the
play. Some people like to hold the dice in their hands while they blow on
them just before a roll. Others will shake the die or dice in a cup so many
times before they roll. Many believe that the dice that they roll will bring
them good luck, and for many lucky people, they do.
Casino dice have often been the topic of much discussion. In many years
past, there would be lead placed into dice. When the owner of the dice
rolled the dice, the dice would land on the same number no matter what.
After casino officials caught on that such dice were being used in the
casinos, there were immediately confiscated and banned. Now days, it is
illegal to play any casino game with weighted dice. Furthermore, many of
these dice are no longer manufactured, due to its rare usage and low demand.
Due to these factors, leaded dice are of high value to any collector and
seller.
Many casinos retire the game dice, just as they do the playing cards. The
dice that are retired are often wrapped and sealed with an official casino
logo tape or sticker. These dice are then often sold in the casino stores.
Many people will purchase a pair or two of dice that were once used in
famous hotels and casinos. Many people believe that old casino dice will
bring them gambling luck in the future, while others feel that the dice are
just a great addition to their casino memorabilia collection. Retired casino
dice are not only pieces of casino history and memorabilia, but they may
bring a little bit of lady luck too.
