Vintage Beer Coasters
Vintage breweriana comes in many different forms. From decanters, to beer
bottle openers to advertising signs, some of the most overlooked vintage
breweriana pieces are coasters. Many people may think that coasters are not
worth much, which in reality, is far from the truth. Some people may
even have a very valuable beer coaster and not even know it!
Beer coasters were created by beer companies as a form of advertisement. The
coasters were originally used in bars as a way to keep water ring stains
from forming on the tables and bars. Over time, coasters grew into an
advertising frenzy, and could be found in bars, and in peoples' homes. As
entertaining from the home grew in the 50's and 60's, the beer companies
took advantage of the situation, and placed their slogans on even more
coasters. Coasters were then readily available for purchase at many stores.
Vintage coasters have been sold on the market for years. Depending on the
quality of the coasters as well as the age of the coasters, the price of the
coaster may vary. Older coasters may be seen for sale at online auctions,
auch as eBay. Internet search engines can also prove fruitful when
looking for dealers that may sell vintage coasters. Antique and vintage
dealers and stores often have websites as well.
People may be surprised when they realize how much their beer coasters could
be worth. There are online sales that have vintage coasters from the 1930's
that are priced at $120.00 a piece! That is a wonderful deal for someone who
is looking to sell their piece of beer coaster memorabilia. No matter what
