Vintage Beer Bar Trays
For anyone who has worked at a bar or has been to a bar, one of the most
recognized items used by the workers are the beer bar trays. The beer bar
trays come in different styles and colors. Often times, companies use the
beer bar trays as a form of advertisement.
Beer bar trays often have different types of advertising or designs on them. The most basic of any beer bar tray, whether they are vintage or otherwise are cork-backed trays. These are quite often seen in most bars, as they are universal and easy to find for purchase. The cork board bottoms
of the beer bar trays make a great setting for advertisement designs. Some
beer companies, such as Schmidt's, have used beer trays for advertisement.
Other companies may simply use a beer bar tray for advertising a hot
vacation spot, such as Florida or Hawaii. Beer bar trays that advertise
countries from overseas are often seen as a hot breweriana commodity as
well.
Another form of vintage beer bar trays are hard plastic. These are just as
common as the cork board beer bar trays, and may be seen more often than their
cork board counterparts. This is because the plastic beer bar trays are easy
to clean, and do not warp as easily as the cork board beer bar trays.
Collectible plastic trays that portray vintage beer slogans and signs have
found homes in many bar walls, as well as collectors homes. Older vintage
beer bar trays can be seen at a selling price of anywhere from $10.00 and
up. Often times, breweriana collectors are willing to trade their beer bar
trays for another in someone else's collection, especially if it means that
their own personal collection can be expanded.
Collecting beer bar trays can be a fun aspect of vintage breweriana. Not
only are they easy to find, but they are also affordable. Collectible beer
bar trays truly are a fun piece of the past.
